Akasha's Journey ships directly from our store in New York to customers who live all over the globe, and there are options we offer which are not on the website.
- If you browse our website and end up surprised by a shipping total, we can help! If you'd like us to requote the shipping amount (domestic or international), leave the items in your cart and contact us. We always consolidate items for shipment, but sometimes the website does not reflect that. We are more than happy to requote the shipping charges prior to purchase.
- If you are one of our international friends, we DO offer USPS First Class Package service, which is not shown on the website. (Not our fault. GoDaddy doesn't offer this as an option). USPS First Class Package shipping is a slower service which comes in significantly cheaper than Priority Mail. We are happy to quote you on this option and invoice you through one of our secure merchant accounts like PayPal or SquareUp.

Return and Refund Policy
- All sales are final. Once your order is placed, it cannot be canceled or refunded.
- Custom orders: All custom orders must be paid for in advance before shipment.
- Damage/Missing items: Please inspect packages for shipping damage. In the event that you receive a package that has been damaged by the shipping carrier, please contact us immediately within 24 hours of receipt of damaged package. If you are missing items, please contact us within 24 hours of receipt of order. Please be ready to provide photos of both the damaged package as well as the contents to us. Do not discard the packaging until you are advised to do so. We will need this to place a claim with the carrier. They will request these photos. Failure to provide us with requested information will result in denial of claim.
- Backorders: If you order an item that states it is backordered on the website, you will be contacted within 7 days of receipt of that order with an estimated stock status update. Typically our backorder times run from 4 to 12 weeks. We know this is a long time for you to wait for your products. We appreciate your patience. Just like you are waiting for us, we are waiting for our suppliers. If there are extenuating circumstances, we will contact you with options.
- Shipping charges: Shipping charges listed with each item are estimated. If you order multiple items and the shipping amount that you have been charged is greater than the actual amount, we will often either upgrade the shipping so that you receive your order faster or you will receive a free gift that we will intuitively choose for you. (This would be our choice if this situation is applicable).
- "Charge Backs": We do not accept "charge backs". We keep detailed information of orders, customer communication, and shipment delivery details. We recognize that the concept of "charge backs" is an unethical way that some consumers attempt to deceive small businesses and credit card companies. We expect our customers to act ethically and responsibly. As such, we will debate any chargebacks should the situation present itself.
- We are a small business with one employee. Orders are checked multiple times upon receipt, picking, and packing. We are also human. If you experience issues with your order, please contact us immediately, directly, respectfully, and with photos. We will make every attempt to correct an unfortunate situation should one occur.
